Team Houston for the Games is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization promoting gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender sports organizations in the Houston, Texas area. Whether you're looking for links to the Gay Games, the Outgames, or looking for GLBT sports organizations in the Houston area, this is a great place to start!

Team Houston was created to promote sports in general within the GLBT community, as well as to coordinate "Team Houston" for the Gay Games and other events. The next edition of the World Outgames will be in Copenhagen, Denmark in 2009. The next Gay Games will be in Cologne, Germany in 2010.

We had a fantastic year in 2006! In the summer, approx. 60 Houston athletes went to Chicago (winning 36 medals!), and about a dozen Houston athletes went to Montreal (winning 24 medals!). Congratulations, and thank you!!!

2007 was great, too! 1st North America Outgames in Calgary in April, where our 5 athletes won 8 medals in their running and swimming events! And we had a great entry in the 2007 Houston Pride Parade & Festival.

Next up in 2009: Our next Social event - to be announced. And the 2nd World Outgames will be in Copenhagen, Denmark this summer - check it out!

Team Houston regularly contacts all the GLBT sports organizations & representatives we can find in the Houston area, to make them aware of Team Houston, coordinate for Pride events, and to promote participation in GLBT sports groups in the Houston area.
