Team Houston for the Games is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization promoting gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender sports organizations in the Houston, Texas area. Whether you're looking for links to the Gay Games, the Outgames, or looking for GLBT sports organizations in the Houston area, this is a great place to start!

Team Houston was created to promote sports in general within the GLBT community, as well as to coordinate "Team Houston" for the Gay Games and other events. The next edition of the Gay Games will be in Cologne, Germany in 2010.

We had a good year in 2009: A small but feisty Team Houston group of ~10 went to the 2nd World Outgames in Copenhagen, Denmark last summer, winning a few medals along the way. Team Houston also had a good entry in the Houston Pride Parade, booths at the Houston Pride Festival and Houston Women's Festival, and supported several area LGBT sports tournaments and events. Games Cologne representatives joined us 8-Nov-09 for a Gay Games VIII / Cologne registration event.

Team Houston regularly contacts all the GLBT sports organizations & representatives we can find in the Houston area, to make them aware of Team Houston, coordinate for Pride events, and to promote participation in GLBT sports groups in the Houston area.
