Hey Y'all!

Due to its popularity, a group of us from Gateway, and a few outside
of Gateway, are forming a second Gateway kickball team to play in
the Austin Parks Coed Kickball League on Friday evenings.


Here is the general information you need to know.  If you are
interested please let me know ASAP since team registration begins
Aug. 20th and fills up fast.  I would like a full roster by the
start of registration so we don't miss out.



Season Start:      Sept. 19th

Game Night:      Friday

Game Times:      6:30, 7:20, 8:10, 8:50

Season Cost:       $25 (less depending on how many additional
players sign up)

Season Length:   10 weeks (8 Games & 2 bye's)

Game Length:     45 Min.

Championship:   Playoff for top 3 teams

# of Teams:        8 teams in league

Location:            Gillis Park (15 miles from Gateway according to
Google maps)

    2504 Durwood St.  Austin, TX  (S.1st & Oltorf)



Since many of the teams have soccer players on them I though others
from Gateway soccer may be interested in playing also.

I didn't play last year and just have a few questions:
How much is registration fee?
How long do the games last?
Are they at the Quarries too?
How long is season?

OK We all have important things to do, but the thing to do tonight is
to spend 1 hour playing in our final Kickball game at 725. If you are
not going to make it we need a creative excuse because this will be
your last opportunity to give one.

We missed you yesterday.   Will you be able to make
the last game this Friday?

Friday Kickball Managers,

Gateway 1 & 2 are going to combine and play only one game this week
and next.  To continue to have the umpire work two games per night I
have revised the schedule to allow Ball Busters and Balls and Chains
to play against each other one more time.  Please note the following
revisions:

Friday 11/2
7:25pm   Gateway vs. Ball Busters
8:20pm   Balls and Chains vs. Ball Busters

Friday 11/9
7:25pm   Gateway vs. Balls and Chains
8:20pm   Ball Busters vs. Balls and Chains

I will let Christa from Austin Rec, know that one team will show up
Friday.

     There are two games left and she can modify the schedule.  Plan on
showing up to finish the season.

     If anyone wants to coach next season , you can let Todd Carlson
know from the church.

Due to the Adult Kickball Associations (AKBA) rules for consecitive
games piched by one picher I will have to sit out this week and let my
Arm recover from the last game. Dont worry team I will rest up and get
prepared to close out the season. JK (I have a conference in dallas

Just a reminder that the Gateway knights I and II kickball teams play
each other this Friday night at 7:25pm.   I am receiving a few last
minute e-mails of players that can't make it.   If some of you have a
friend that wants to play please bring them.

I apologize for offending anyone with my message yesterday morning.
I normally don't send messages out at the last minute without thinking
about it.  I hadn't slept much in two days and had to leave for Ft.
Hood at 5:45 am.

    Yes, several of you were right about letting me know about being
gone.  I apologize for not mentioning it.

     I hope we can have a fun filled evening on Friday.  There will be
a couple of people gone.  I am working on some extra players showing
up.
