Hi Molly...
I think Bohnenstiel was released on Friday...not sure
though. Pretty sure though that they used his roster
spot for a pitcher.

A question...Did you play college baseball? I so where? It would be
best if you could find a scout that has seen you play to recomend you
to an organization. Generally a director of player personnel will

Grizzlies drop Game One to Roosters
06/24/05 - Frontier League (FL) Gateway Grizzlies
Gateway Grizzlies
The Gateway Grizzlies quite literally couldn't hold on to a win Friday
night. The Grizzlies committed a season-high three errors which led to
four unearned runs, as the Grizzlies fell to the Richmond Roosters 8-6
in front of 3,881 at GMC Stadium.
The Grizzlies (9-19) are now a season-low 10 games under the .500 mark.
The Rooster are 13-15.
The Grizzlies wasted a third complete game by Brandon Smith. Smith
(4-2) gave up all eight runs, four earned, on nine hits. He struck out
four and walked just a single hitter. The Roosters scored all eight
runs in the fourth and fifth innings.
Jimmy Reiter, Phil Warren and Oscar Vargas each drove in a pair of runs
on the night. Reiter was 2-4 with a pair of solo home runs. Warren was
1-4 with a two-run single. Oscar was 1-4 with a solo home run. He also
drove in a run on a fielder's choice.
The Grizzlies and Roosters continue the series with a 7:05 game
Saturday night at GMC Stadium.

I just wanted everyone to know that I think this ball club is being run
really well, in more ways than one. I work at the stadium through
Keystone, and I love working there, and so does everyone else that I
work with. I've also know some players on the team and they are happy
to be there. I also love being there for the games, even though I work
there.
I wanted to let you both know that it was really awesome meeting both of you the other night. And thank you Steve for introducing me to Jack Reiter. Its not very often that you get to meet your favorite players parents but I had a great time talking to you both. And thank you for helping with me with the directions from GMC back to St. Louis. Who was the man that I talked to last night. He even told me his name twice and I still forgot. The only thing I remembered is that he was a base coach for the Cardinals with Whitey Herzog.
Keep up with great work with the Grizzlies organization, Tony. You guys truly have a class act organization.

Great message goldmom ~ when the guys were down during their last
at-bat, I continued to cheer for them and show my support. My step
son and I were two of the only ones around my section who applauded
the guys the ENTIRE games, not just when we were winning or made a
spectacular play. There was one pitcher ( he's the only one that I
cant remember his name ) who was warming up in the bullpen with Whit
and he threw a really beauty and we let him know how awesome he was
doing even if it was just in the pen. He got the biggest smile on
his face and said thank you very much. These guys are out there
giving it their all and they need their fans backing 100% of the
time.
I dont agree with booing the players no matter what the
circumstances are. Especially since a lot of those fans will be the
ones praises the players seconds later when they are doing great. I
had a kid sitting by us on Tuesday night and he was just being
totally ignorant. And I mean a young kid and his parents were
letting him yell at our players and the pitcher warming up in the
bullpen. The players arent going to respond but I could tell that
they werent too happy. I almost lost my manners during last nights
game when there was total silence in our section and some fool
decides to scream that our pitchers all sucked. Me and some elderly
gentlemen both told him to butt out there and do it himself if he
thought he could do a better job. That shut him up.
As everyone has been saying, the guys have time to snap out of this
little funk and turn things around.
Go Grizzlies
That is good to know. I know it is not college ball, and when
listening to our favorite announcer ( joe pott) we do hear fan support.
We are just saying for some reason or another things are not clicking
for our picthers at home games. We know this is fustrating to the
players as well as coaches and it is easy for us to say what needs to
be changed or what they should or shouldn't do. I am not in these
coaches shoes and I am sure they will do what is best for this team.
all we can do is support and cheer them on.
We are here in california so next time you are at a game can you cheer
extra loud for them for us !
Thanks
I don't hear booing...the fans mostly get on the
umpires...there is a lot of support for the team...but
honestly...this is professional baseball and not
college ball...to stay around you have to be able to
contribute...They need a at least two starters as I
see it.

It is just not our son, We would stick up for any pitcher in that
postion. Yes he does well in the pen. Golden as all the guys that are
playing in this game have a real love for baseball and I know it
bothers all of them when picthers and fielders alike are behind. There
is nothing we can say that they have not said to them selves. So lets
give all of them our support. please do not be like the guy that

Grizzles are a fine and outstanding ball club and I feel that the fans
should cheer them on no matter what ! because BELIVE ME , the guys
hear you !
