This is from an interview with Rick Stowe, longtime clubhouse manager
for the Cincinnati Reds, asking about his most- and least-favorite
players.
Q: Who was the biggest pain?
A: I can only remember two or three. Brad Gulden, a backup catcher, in
(1984). We'd polish his shoes. It was never good enough for him. He'd
throw them back at us. Neil Fiala was another one. Very moody. The
other players harassed him. He harassed us.
