Some of you may have received this already, but please pass on the
word to your Ultimate compadres about our Ultimate for Life
tournament, to be held Saturday, June 9, 2007. Proceeds go to the
American Cancer Society's Relay for Life event to help fight cancer.
Sorry about the late notice to some of you -- still working on how
best to distribute the information to the Ultimate community. If
you're concerned about the $5 difference in early and late
registration, and desire an extension, we can probably work something
out, since I didn't send this until the afternoon before early
registration is due...
Details at http://www.geocities.com/stjoeultimate4life -- you'll find
forms (we need the participant registration form and waiver filled
out and returned to the address on the forms) there, as well as
details on how to get to the event, and contact information.
If you're not familiar with the St. Joseph, MI area, we have a prime
location just 1/2 hour north of South Bend, IN, about 2 hours from
Chicago, and only a short drive from Kalamazoo, Grand Rapids, and
Holland. We have Silver Beach, which is typically AMAZING on a June
afternoon/evening, and would be a great place to cool off and relax
after the tournament. Lots of dining options, for a small town, and
if you have any questions about the area, please feel free to contact
me or Jim O'Neal at the email addresses below.
Again, please pass this on to anyone you know that might want to play.

Hi there,
I am SAM, an Iraqi refugee living in Lebanon at the moment; I have spent the
last 10 years of my life as a refugee registered with the UNHCR in Beirut. The
last 4 years, I have spent as an activist for peace and human rights (especially
refugees and asylum seekers) on the Internet; I'm also books author and ebooks
publisher. I have launched many campaigns to improve our situation as refugees
in Lebanon and hopefully bring more understanding to our problems worldwide. I
helped make many changes and improvements at the UNHCR office in Beirut; I used
the Internet as the field for my activities (you can read more about that in my
free ebook 'MY CAMPAIGNS'). All my ebooks are free and could be download from my
sites.
This is my newest campaign, it's about the illegal and humiliating actions of
the UNHCR, who using photos of refugees as banners and human-buttons to collect
money. This is an abuse of the dignity and humanity of the refugees and must
stop immediately and a clear public apology present by The United Nations High
Commissioner for Refugees. My friends, I am talking about the pictures you can
see here:
http://lebanon.usjc.net/human-buttons.htm
Where you can read the rest of this message as web page.
Also you can read my new campaign 'Urgent, we need smile' here:

For more info about UNHCR and life of refugees you can read my free ebooks. I
invite you as fellow humans and members of the world community to support my
campaign by reading my article on my site and see the human-buttons. The
campaign is to support and improve the UNHCR http://www.unhcr.ch especially
after the last scandals in the UN and UNHCR, just for example:
The refugees allege that UNHCR staff is selling most of the food items they are
supposed to be supplied.
"They aren't supplying sufficient food to us because they sell most of the food
items," they allege: http://allafrica.com/stories/200503140214.html
Here is another example: Burmese Refugees Withdraw Protest Against UNHCR
http://www.mizzima.com/archives/news-in-2005/news-in-april/12-April05-22.htm
"We make demonstration and fast because the UNHCR office in Cairo did nothing
for our problem..." http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/africa/4440730.stm
Together we will build better world.

Tenacious roster and cuts for that dont start for another month or so.
Cheers.
hey, we had started an organization last year, but it kind of fell apart, anyway we play pickup games every friday at 3:30 @ Ada Park. There is no age limit but is mostly highschool kids along with a few college kids. You are more than welcome to play with us. My number is 540-0997 if you have any questions.
how many large adidas Men's +Predator ClimaLite 2 Jersey
White/Gold/Black
> (Product #: 079827) do you have in stock?
Dear Zack,
Thank you for your inquiry.
We have less then one dozen of size large in stock. You may be ordered
on
our website at eastbay.com or by calling us directly at:
Domestic: 1-800-826-2205.
back to square one
Ok, i made a poll for which jersey. before i put it up i checked
eastbay again to make sure this is the best one and i really think
it is. please take into account the fact that some of them only come
in some sizes ( namely the white and gold ). also take into account
that Jeff votes for the white but he isnt here for 3 weeks so ne
ways. i added everything up and getting 12 jerseys is going to cost
$320 but after a 20% discount and adding in the tax and S&H it comes
out to around $280. im only mentioning this because i dont feel like
putting down 300 bucks, so ide like to collect some money before i
make the order (dont want my parent to flip). the people i accounted
for include (the origonal team) Kelly, Aaron, Matt, Jeff, Doug,
Kyle, Jay, Dan, Brad, Tim, Bego, and myself. if someone on this list
isnt on the website then could one of you guys call them up and ask
them or have them call me. i think thats just about everything. ide
like to start collecting money this friday at ultimate, which gives
everyone plenty of time to go around their neighborhood and collect
cans, i made $45 in 2 hours. if anyone has any questions call me or
post it here.
P.S. to the few people who are on the sight but havent played with
us yet, if you want to take part in the jerseys ide be happy to put
anything in the order, just check out eastbay for details. and maybe
even come to ada park this friday at 1:30 i think it is, and play a
few games. then maybe we can start talking about really setting up
the league.
cheers
it was going to be 20% off but i lost the code so ill have to search for that again tomorrow, unfortunately this particular one (the white and gold) only comes in L and XL. so this might work or we might want to keep looking. im also going to email eastbay and ask if we can get team pricing. cheers
these work better.

wow... i need to get back to work. and stop sending people 3 emails in
a row.
cheers
I like the idea of cheaper jerseys; who really doesn't? The link you
posted doesn't work though, but I toured Eastbay's jersey stock and
there are a few there that are pretty nice. I'm assuming Zack picked
out a nice one. Last time we thought about jerseys the color situation
took up a lot of our time, so we should probably go with something
rather simple such as blue and white with black lining or something
like that. Anyway, yay cheapness and don't fret about color. There,
that is my schpiel. Oh, and Zack, since I don't really know which
jersey you mean, could you print it out? Ok, I'm done.
im not sure if a youth large is going to be big enough... at least for
kids like doug and aaron. but ill keep looking and if other people
have spare time then you guys should too.
ok, so i was thinking about it... and everyone is poor... and no one
wants to take the time to collect money (cept me XD) and so the GAIA
40 dollar jerseys arent going to cut it... so whats everyone think
about these?

if we can decide before the weekend the already 20 dollars off will
have 20 percent tacken off too. so basically we would be looking at a
$30 shirt for around 8 after tax.
lemi know what everyone thinks about it, and also which color if in
deed you would like to get these.
cheers
Hi Wendy,
Sorry for not replying sooner but school has been hecktic being a
senior and all. Anyway, im not sure if there are enough people who
will get outside and actually play but there are certainly enough
people who say they would like to play. right now none of the regular
people know how the league will work and even if it will work. However
we will be thinking about it and i or someone else will keep you
posted on the details. so far im thinking that if we can get at least
2 teams of 9 to 12 people then we can play eachother durring the week
and as we get more teams we can have tournaments on weekends however
often people will come out. nothings in stone yet and everything is up
for discussion so if you have any ideas or suggestions that would be
greatly apreciated. on another note thank you for letting us use ada
park, its been woderfull.
Thanks again
Zac

Hi Zach:
I'm the Park Director at Ada Park and I think it's great that you're
holding the pick-up games here. I'd like to find out more about
getting a summer league (or fall) going here. Can you fill me in? Do
you think there is enough interest to just have a High School league?
Thanks,
Wendy Tatar
If anyone has some ideas then i think it would be good to post them
here and email wendy too. Also if we could start spreading the word
again (that kinda fizzled out) then we will have a better chance of
getting the league started.
Cheers
This site was created for our team made up of kids from central. our
goal is to make a league over the summer so technically the answer is
both. so far nothing is final or truely in the works untill schools
out but we would like to make a league and anyone who makes a team and
would like to join the league is welcome on this site. to make things
less complicated ill start another website specifically for our team.
so to both Jeff VanDorp and palanatri78, it would be great if you
could make a team and play in the league over the summer. as for
wyoming, we arent affiliated with any of that.
i think this should clear up some questions, if you have any more feel
free to post, email, or im me.
sorry for any confusion.
saw the post asking the question, didn't see an answer...
is this group oriented towards forming a team or a league? and is that
league independent of the league that seems to be taking shape in
Wyoming? if it's a team, is there a general feel for what it should
be? i.e. college, mixed, youth, open, very competitive, etc.
Does anyone on this list play at Wilcox park?
OK, I stumbled across this group mostly by accident and read the
messages, but they seem to be more about forming a team than starting a
league in GR. I think I recognize some of the people here, like Tim
and Aaron, who've played at Calvin with us. I had heard rumors of a
league starting up, but nothing confirmed. Can someone confirm and
provide details? I'm interested, and I think maybe I could get a team
together. If this yahoo group is just for your team, thats cool - I'll
remove myself from the list. Just let me know.
Jeff
we are making a final decision on friday for the colors of our
jerseys. being that its a no school day we will be playing at 1:00
unless that doesnt work for some reason. so bring any and all ideas
and we can decide so that spring break can be used for can drives,
ultimate, more can drives, more ultimate, and if thats not enough,
more ultimate.
cheers
