Ok, i made a poll for which jersey. before i put it up i checked
eastbay again to make sure this is the best one and i really think
it is. please take into account the fact that some of them only come
in some sizes ( namely the white and gold ). also take into account
that Jeff votes for the white but he isnt here for 3 weeks so ne
ways. i added everything up and getting 12 jerseys is going to cost
$320 but after a 20% discount and adding in the tax and S&H it comes
out to around $280. im only mentioning this because i dont feel like
putting down 300 bucks, so ide like to collect some money before i
make the order (dont want my parent to flip). the people i accounted
for include (the origonal team) Kelly, Aaron, Matt, Jeff, Doug,
Kyle, Jay, Dan, Brad, Tim, Bego, and myself. if someone on this list
isnt on the website then could one of you guys call them up and ask
them or have them call me. i think thats just about everything. ide
like to start collecting money this friday at ultimate, which gives
everyone plenty of time to go around their neighborhood and collect
cans, i made $45 in 2 hours. if anyone has any questions call me or
post it here.

P.S. to the few people who are on the sight but havent played with
us yet, if you want to take part in the jerseys ide be happy to put
anything in the order, just check out eastbay for details. and maybe
even come to ada park this friday at 1:30 i think it is, and play a
few games. then maybe we can start talking about really setting up
the league.

cheers

this is the jersey we are getting

it was going to be 20% off but i lost the code so ill have to search for that again tomorrow, unfortunately this particular one (the white and gold) only comes in L and XL. so this might work or we might want to keep looking. im also going to email eastbay and ask if we can get team pricing.

I like the idea of cheaper jerseys; who really doesn't? The link you
posted doesn't work though, but I toured Eastbay's jersey stock and
there are a few there that are pretty nice. I'm assuming Zack picked
out a nice one. Last time we thought about jerseys the color situation
took up a lot of our time, so we should probably go with something
rather simple such as blue and white with black lining or something
like that. Anyway, yay cheapness and don't fret about color. There,
that is my schpiel. Oh, and Zack, since I don't really know which
jersey you mean, could you print it out? Ok, I'm done.

ok, so i was thinking about it... and everyone is poor... and no one
wants to take the time to collect money (cept me XD) and so the GAIA
40 dollar jerseys arent going to cut it... so whats everyone think
about these?

http://www.eastbay.com/catalog/productdetail.cfm?TID=5555-

302&model_nbr=41479&supercat=clothing&cm=70907&id=0&mvp=

if we can decide before the weekend the already 20 dollars off will
have 20 percent tacken off too. so basically we would be looking at a
$30 shirt for around 8 after tax.

lemi know what everyone thinks about it, and also which color if in
deed you would like to get these.

cheers

Hi Wendy,
Sorry for not replying sooner but school has been hecktic being a
senior and all. Anyway, im not sure if there are enough people who
will get outside and actually play but there are certainly enough
people who say they would like to play. right now none of the regular
people know how the league will work and even if it will work. However
we will be thinking about it and i or someone else will keep you
posted on the details. so far im thinking that if we can get at least
2 teams of 9 to 12 people then we can play eachother durring the week
and as we get more teams we can have tournaments on weekends however
often people will come out. nothings in stone yet and everything is up
for discussion so if you have any ideas or suggestions that would be
greatly apreciated. on another note thank you for letting us use ada
park, its been woderfull.
        Thanks again
Zac

I'm the Park Director at Ada Park and I think it's great that you're
holding the pick-up games here. I'd like to find out more about
getting a summer league (or fall) going here. Can you fill me in? Do
you think there is enough interest to just have a High School league?

     Thanks,
     Wendy Tatar

If anyone has some ideas then i think it would be good to post them
here and email wendy too. Also if we could start spreading the word
again (that kinda fizzled out) then we will have a better chance of
getting the league started.

This site was created for our team made up of kids from central. our
goal is to make a league over the summer so technically the answer is
both. so far nothing is final or truely in the works untill schools
out but we would like to make a league and anyone who makes a team and
would like to join the league is welcome on this site. to make things
less complicated ill start another website specifically for our team.
so to both Jeff VanDorp and palanatri78, it would be great if you
could make a team and play in the league over the summer. as for
wyoming, we arent affiliated with any of that.
i think this should clear up some questions, if you have any more feel
free to post, email, or im me.
sorry for any confusion.

saw the post asking the question, didn't see an answer...

is this group oriented towards forming a team or a league? and is that
league independent of the league that seems to be taking shape in
Wyoming? if it's a team, is there a general feel for what it should
be? i.e. college, mixed, youth, open, very competitive, etc.

Does anyone on this list play at Wilcox park?

OK, I stumbled across this group mostly by accident and read the
messages, but they seem to be more about forming a team than starting a
league in GR. I think I recognize some of the people here, like Tim
and Aaron, who've played at Calvin with us. I had heard rumors of a
league starting up, but nothing confirmed. Can someone confirm and
provide details? I'm interested, and I think maybe I could get a team
together. If this yahoo group is just for your team, thats cool - I'll
remove myself from the list. Just let me know.

unless that doesnt work for some reason. so bring any and all ideas
and we can decide so that spring break can be used for can drives,
ultimate, more can drives, more ultimate, and if thats not enough,
more ultimate.

Wow. There were definately no rumors about people being cut. Whoever
thinks people are being cut is retarded being that we need twelve
people to be on the team for ordering jerseys. The problem with these
rumors seems to have been timothy. He interpreted something i told him
as that he was going to be cut or something like that, which makes no
sense at all, being that he is one of the people who "organized" the
friday games. Tim's confusion on the matter seems to have lead to
things being taken out of context.

Jeff is right about not talking about people behind their backs. If
people have some constructive critism to say about someone then they
should say it to the person's face. This should be a team policy from
now on...

In my first hour class i had a few kids walk up to me and say that
ultimate is a great idea for the summer, as in they want to start a
team. just thought ide let you guys know that and i think you should
all tell people to make a team. but yea, the name thing, i think we
should just take our time with it because we dont have the money or
time what with the musical n such. It might just be better to not have
a name. on annother note, im gunna tell the inside the lines people to
be there at 4 to 4:30, 4 members of the team happen to have a swim
test so by that time we should all be there and playing good ultimate
for our adoring fans. which leads me to our shirts! ideas such as its
miller time with kelly miller and his number on the back, the ultimat
fan or player, and even ultimate women for the female persuasion.
beyond that i NEVER said i wanted people cut, so shut up time for
spreading rumors ( if that was directed at the wrong person im sorry,
its Dougs fault). finally, i think Bego is a bitch for quitting crew,
just kidding but seriously your a bitch Bego. XD Cheers

Tim - however funny the "chief justices" was for maybe a day, it is a
terrible team name.
Blitzkrieg is aight but we kinda sound like a bunch of nazis that play
frisbee.
It is a good idea to try and play Northern teams but they have 4 teams
of seven. We have one team of 12. It would be stupid to ask them to
put together 2 of their teams to make a team of 14. The playing time
would be lacking for everyone.

When we play other teams, i assume that we want to win, so we need
some way to get the subs in fairly without compromising the game. Of
course everyone will get a chance to play, but if we play Bego (no
offense) as much as matt allie we wont have a change.

Ok, what if we have some odd team name; one that doesn't need any
specific colors and can have a rather genaric logo. Something dumb and
weird like Chasing Plastic. Cause we kinda do; chase plastic. You get
the idea right? This way we don't need colors that some people dislike
or have some odd logo. It can just be some clever use of a frisbee or
something. I am not saying no to any team name ideas, I really
couldn't care too much. It's just that I dont think that we will reach
any kind of agreement with how we are going.

If you don't want some strange name, we should get a meeting (of those
who at least care) after school or some time (not friday. This meeting
will be soley to decide team name, color and logo.)

We can't really go on with one person suggesting some name and a few
people talking about it. The whole team needs to be aware of this
meeting and can come if they care enough. Otherwise, we will decide
without them. There, I'm done. You guys can do what you want.
