Gee, isn't the first word in that SKIING slogan/cliche spelled "pray?" Maybe
the spelling is a Freudian-slip-thingy connected to the fact that it's contained
in an off-topic commercial post here. nah. that's silly/can't be. never mind.

I
have a pair of Men’s size L (they fit a bit smaller) Dakine full finger
sailing gloves. Brand new, attached to the cardboard thingy, with price
on it ($29? I think). I can’t use gloves, so if anybody is
interested, they are $15 plus postage to you from PDX.
Hey Julia...sounds like you're ready to beat the rest of us sleet-eaters to the
punch in '10 as you did this year on January 1st at Roosevelt. Game on (though
I may not be game due to an injury time out)!

Not the only blue hole...3-mile was good Friday afternoon too for about
the same time frame. Rigged a 5.2 and my little board (77 liters) and
was just about right for a reach or two then a 4.7 or 4.2 would have
been a better call, but more outhaul worked just fine too as I didn't
feel like rerigging and it was steady enough that being overpowered was
still comfortable. The swell that set up after the wind had been blowing
for a bit was very nice too. Sailed until sunset then it got very
gusty/holey. Was very nice couple of hours....water still not too bad
either though had full winter set up on for air temps in the low
40s/upper 30s.

I think Steve T and I found the only hole of blue sky in the near east gorge,
sailed a 5.0 and Steve a 4.2 for almost 2 hours from 3-5 and it was ok with ok
swell and just enough to say it was worth the drive, may have been the last west
wind day for this year(I have said that twice already) no gloves just winter
booties, did anybody get the far east Arlington area I wonder ? Later
Larry
Larry - I recognized your van and I saw you getting blown around on Wednesday.
From the beach, there were a few times when you kind of disappeared in the smoke
from the blowing wind and got moved around a bit. You were a good wind-dummy.
I'm amzed you lasted 2 hours.
After seeing this I headed to Stevenson. It was a nice even 3.7 with nice
swells. There were about 4 - 5 folk up there. I couldn't sail long as I had to
get back to work. The water is starting to get cold and he air was warm enough
that I didnt' need gloves - good thing as I can't sail worth a darn with gloves.
You win the "dam that water hurts my face" award.

windier than ever for me, I had that 3.2 as flat as possible and was still
getting picked up at times without being on a swell (I am a good 215 lb'r) and
this was not the day to be trying to launch big air, I even thought that if I
stayed long enough it would back off a little but after 2 hours I gave up and
left while I was ahead with no bad crashes just some close calls and a fast
heart beat, no one else on the water when I left, Later, Larry

was done and up by my car this guy did pull up next to my van and got out and
went over by the stairs and staired for a while and I thought oh my god not
again, but he turned out to be either not interested or he was just waiting for
other kiters he left without any conversation or offers whew! Later

and a couple of kiteboarders(1,4 meter and 1,7 meter that was too much for him),
nice ramps and pretty steady wind, still sailing with the summer booties and no
need for gloves yet, Later, Larry
