Absolutely fabulous day at Dogs Beach/Rowena. Judging from the spindrift the
gusts were 40 or so and there was small, but long, smooth swell in the middle of
the river. Noted a fella with a couple of feet of mast sticking out of the top
of his small sail return to the beach after a short session. On shore his head
cap line exploded and his sail collapsed like an accordion on the mast. He
seemed a bit upset about it. What he should have done is smile and rush out to
buy a lottery ticket since it was clearly his LUCKY day. Had the line failed in
the barge lane, he would have had an altogether even less happy experience.
