Two Annoucements: GHORBA wanted to pass on two fun family events
tomorrow at the REI Westheimer location. As off-road bikers we all
end up camping and doing a lot of driving as part of enjoying our
sport.
1. FAMILY CAMPING PROGRAM

The Houston Area Urban Outdoors Specialist from the Texas Parks and
Wildlife Department will be here to teach families the basics of
camping. Learn how to enjoy the outdoors and explore new boundaries
with your family. There will also be some basic information on site
selection, items to bring, and state park camping opportunities in
the Houston area, along with many useful hints for the outdoors.

2. The National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS) Recycled Vegetable
Oil (RVO) Bus Visits Houston

The non-profit NOLS has found a better way to get around. The school
has a 36-foot bus fueled by French fries and other ingredients
traveling the country, providing an active, environmentally
conscious way to learn about the outdoors. Powered by recycled
vegetable oil (RVO) and solar power, this educational program on
wheels provides an active, environmentally conscious way to learn
about the outdoors and celebrate leadership in your community.
