GHORBA will be holding early elections next month.

We have several openings on the board. If you are interested in
serving and giving back to your local biking community or have talents
you are willing to share, GHORBA needs you.

GHORBA's vision is to establish the greater Houston area as the best
large urban city for off-road cycling.

We have a lot of great plans for the coming year including:

- Sprockids. GHORBA has partnered with Prairie View A&M and written
a proposal to the Texas Department of Parks and Wildlife to conduct
education and mountain bike rides for 150 disadvantages children in
three counties in the Houston Area.

- The Big Ring Challenge. Becoming one of the most popular races in
the TMBRA spring series, GHORBA will host its 4th Big Ring Challenge
May 6 & 7, 2006. www.tmbra.org

- Trail Maintenance. GHORBA helps fund and organize trail building
and maintenance for many of the trails in the area.

- Advocacy. GHORBA maintains relationships with city and local land
managers to keep access to the trails we all love and ride. GHORBA is
working with the County on designing & building the mountain bike
trails at Sims Bayou.

- Social. GHORBA will be hosting the Christmas Light Ride and a
Christmas Party to celebrate cycling in Houston in December.

- Growth. GHORBA is here to serve the community. If you have an
idea or passion, let us know and together we can make it happen.
