a.. Jack Brooks Night Ride: Saturday night 9:00pm to 11:00pm. October
9.Enter park via Hwy 6 as 2004 gate will be locked. If you have never been
that way, go past 2004 entrance to Hwy 6. Take a left, go a couple of miles and
you will see the sign and rodeo arena on your right, turn right there. Stop at
the gate, tell the guard why you are there. Go to the next stop sign, turn
right, follow road to biking parking lot passing 2004 entrance stop sign,
straight at sign (road dead ends in lot). See ya'll there and don't forget
to charge your batteries.

a.. October GHORBA Meeting will be at Otto's BBQ on Monday, October 11 at 7pm
in the back room. Otto's is just east of Westcott St. on Memorial Drive. If
the trails are dry, let's ride Memorial Park before the meeting. Meet at the
soccer field and be ready to roll at 5:30pm.

b.. Double Lake Work Party: Saturday, October 16 9:00 am. Come out and
help get the trails prepared for our upcoming TMBRA race. A general work party
is needed to get the trails in primo condition. Bring any tools (clippers, hand
tools etc.), gloves, and a camelback. Meet at the Shelter near the trail head.
Snacks will be provided. This counts for TMBRA paydirt hours. Directions to
Double Lake can be found on the GHORBA website. Please email Cynthia if you

a.. Houston Big Ring Challenge.....It's just around the corner! October 23 &
24. Information on the race can be found here

various duties: registration, course marshalls, parking, water handups, clean
up. Please consider helping out, whether it's an hour or all day, we can use
your help!!! Contact Keith to volunteer at Keith@... Please
encourage all of your friends to come out and race. The proceeds from this race
help to fund GHORBA programs (trail maintenance, tool purchases, kids and
beginnners clinics). This trail is great for the first time racer and still fun
for the experts!
