We had a great turnout of ladies at the skills clinic this past weekend. Way to
go, girls!!! Several of the beginner ladies expressed an interest in an
organized ladies ride.

So, this Wednesday, June 23, GHORBA will hold a ladies ride at Memorial Park. Be
ready to roll at 6:30pm from the parking lot by the soccer fields. If the trails
are closed we will do an Urban Ride. All levels of riders are welcome and no one
will be left behind.

Make sure to bring plenty of water to keep yourself hydrated.

MEMORIAL PARK WORK PARTY, SATURDAY JUNE 26th: Get started on 2005 PayDirt
points now! There will be a work party at Memorial starting at 9:00 a.m. to
complete work on the Red Trail. Please bring gloves and your water bottle. We
will work until about 1:00 p.m.

HUNTSVILLE STATE PARK WORK PARTY, SATURDAY JUNE 26TH: GHORBA volunteers will be
removing and rebuilding Bridge #5 at the park. Materials will be precut and
ready for installation, just need your help in building the new bridge. Please
bring gloves, battery-operated screw drivers, etc. We will start about 8:00
a.m. and work until noon or when the bridge is finished. Please sign in on the
volunteer sheet so the park gets credit for your hours. Richard will have
PayDirt forms, as well. We will meet at the Interpretive Center just past the
ranger station.

CYPRESSWOOD TRAILS: From Jerry Gruss - I would like anyone interested in
maintaining the trails at Cypresswood to meet at the head of the trail this
Monday evening at 6PM. Bring along some clippers, and we will trim some of the
face slappers that are trying to close off the trail. You may wish to wear long
sleeves and gloves to protect from poison ivy. And don't forget some bug spray
and something to drink. We might want to ride afterwards, depending on how wet
it is... I am trying to find a time slot that will work for more than one or two
people, so if you have any suggestions for the next week, please pass them
along.
