GHORBA May Meeting -Monday, May 10th at Otto's on Memorial just west of Memorial
Park (between Westcott and Detering Streets). Meeting starts at 7:00 p.m. with
Registered Dietician Angela Kirke speaking on proper hydration. Go for a short
ride before the meeting then join us for a great speaker! Everyone is welcome.

3rd Annual BikeBash, Tuesday, May 11th - Come celebrate with BikeHouston at the
Twelve Spot at 218 Travis downtown!!! The party starts at 6:30 p.m. and ends
around 8:30. Festivities include food from El Meson, Funky Bike Contest, and a
silent art auction. There will be door prizes. BikeHouston is asking for a $5
donation for children's helmets. BikeHouston will also be honoring Officer Jack
Hanagriff of the Houston Police Department bicycle detail for his incredible
work with Houston's kids. Bike parking will be available and watched by a

Jack Brooks BIKE SWAP Sunday, May 23rd - The Jack Brooks wing of GHORBA is
hosting a bike SWAP meet at the park from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Bring your
used bike parts and bikes to buy, sell or trade with others. There will be bike
shops and food vendors on hand. If you would like to set up a booth, the cost is
$30 with proceeds benefitting the trails at Jack Brooks. For directions to the

Riding Clinic - GHORBA will be hosting a riding clinic on Saturday, June 19th.
Location is being determined and will be announced shortly. The format will be
the same as in past years. We will have instruction for new riders up to the
very experienced with different activities for each. The clinic will start at
9:00 a.m. and conclude about 2:00-3:00 (students will ride with their groups on
the shortly trails after lunch). The cost is $25/person to cover park permit
fees, insurance and FOOD! More information will be posted soon!
