Attention Mountain Bikers! There's alot going on this month - get riding and
get involved!
GHORBA will be hosting a Work Party at Huntsville State Park north of Houston on
Saturday, March 6th beginning at 9:00 a.m. and concluding at 1:00 p.m. We will
be correcting some drainage issues, so please bring flathead and spearhead
shovels, rakes, gloves, etc. Drinks and snacks will be provided. Please be sure
to sign in and out. Richard will be there at 8:00 a.m. if you want to arrive
early. This qualifies for TMBRA Pay Dirt Points. Note: the trails have been
VERY wet, so riding may or may not be an option after the work party. Email

Join us on Monday, March 8 at 7pm at Otto's BBQ in the back room for our Monthly
Meeting and Annual elections. We will elect the board of directors for the
coming year. Also, dietician, Angela Kirke will speak on healthy eating
before, during, and after cycling/exercise. Plus many more announcements and

NORBA Nationals/TMBRA Race On March 11-14th professional and amateur teams from
all over the world will make their way to Waco, Texas in order to compete for
both North American Championship Series (NCS) and Union Cycliste Internationale
Series (UCI) points. Spectators, vendors, and fellow competitors will watch the
world's best while they slug it out on some of the "BEST MUNICIPAL SINGLE-TRACK
IN THE COUNTRY." --Bike Magazine, 8(6), pp. 44-51.
In order to make this event a smashing success, volunteers are needed for
positions such as Course Marshalls, registration, awards...etc. If intereseted,

Several of the states mountain bike clubs are challenging other clubs to
volunteer, so if you do go to Waco and can spare a couple hours to help out
please do. And if you are a GHORBA member please tell them you are.
