WORK PARTY AT STEPHEN F AUSTIN STATE PARK (NEW VENUE!!!!): We are having a
General work party at Stephen F. Austin State Park Sunday November 23rd at 9am.
Stephen F. Austin is a brand new venue that is being developed by GHORBA and the
State Park. We will be cutting grass and puttting in about 2 miles of new
trail around the campground area. Bring gas weedeaters, heavy duty rakes, any
other preferred tools to cut grass, safety gear, lunch and sports drink. We will
work till about noon or 1. Directions to the park are: Take I-10 west to near
Sealy. The town of San Felipe is just east of Sealy. San Fleipe Exit FM1458 (I
think the sign for the park on I-10 got knocked down) There is Knox truck stop.
Head north on fm1458 till you see a sign for the park. Turn left on Park road
38. If you hit the Brazos river you have gone too far. Since this is a new
venue there is not too much trail to ride, but there are some multi use trails
in the park. (We have many bridges to build for
the trails, so come hear about all of those plans, too!). This counts for
TMBRA Pay Dirt Points, so bring your forms.

GROUP RIDE SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 29TH: Work off that turkey dinner and holiday
stomach on the Saturday after Thanksgiving at Bluff Creek Ranch in Warda, TX.
We will ride at 9:00 a.m. The cost is $5/person paid to the ranch owners.
Directions: Take I-10 west to Columbus. Head northwest on Hwy 71 until you get
to Hwy 77. Take a right on Hwy 77 and go approximately 14 miles to the small
town of Warda. Look for Owl Creek Road and take a right. The ranch will be on
your left about 1/2 mile from the highway. The ranch provides great riding for
beginning to expert riders. Everyone is welcome to join us!!!

long at a very leisurely pace. Families welcome. Maps will be provided. We
