HUNTSVILLE RACE SEPT 27-28TH: The Huntsville Classic Race will be going on this
weekend. Richard, Jimm and many Houston riders have helped tremendously over
the last year to make the trails great for everyone. Come try the race or just
come up Saturday to preride the course and watch the Kids Kup races. There is
also a FREE beginners clinic that begins at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Sunday, Race
Day: Sport and Single Speed Classes 9:00 a.m. start, Experts start at 11:00
a.m., and Beginners and Youth start at 1:00 p.m. Want more information:

and to prepare for the Double Lake Race in October :)

MS150 KICKOFF PARTY, TUES. SEPT 30TH: The 20th anniversary MS150 Houston -
Austin ride will be happening this spring! The MS Society is having a kickoff
party from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. next Tuesday the 30th at Memorial Park. Enjoy free
beverages and snacks, entertainment, as well as free commenorative t-shirts to
the first 1,000 attendees. The festivities will be at the picnic loop. Parking
will be crazy, so please consider riding your bike to the event!!

OCTOBER MEETING MONDAY, THE 13TH: Monthly meeting will be at Otto's on Monday,
October 13th starting at 7:00 pm.

Save the dates for Trail Work:
MEMORIAL PARK: We're working on securing Saturday, October 11th for a work day
at Memorial Park. We will keep you posted.
DOUBLE LAKE: We need one last pass through the trail before the race. We will
have a work party on Sunday, October 12th. This counts for PayDirt Points.

31st Annual Moonlight Ramble (www.bikehouston.org) starting at 2:00 a.m. Sunday
October 12th. Ride around the city under the full moon. The ride starts at the
George R. Brown with 10 and 20-mile routes around town. Helmets are required.

New Belgium Tour de Fat Mountain Bike Festival at Rocky Hill on Saturday,
October 18th (more information to be posted soon)
