The Houston Press published its 7-page story on the Memorial Park Master Plan
saga. Per usual, cyclists aren't painted in the best light, but the people
possibly loosing the ball fields all over the park take center stage in this
article. Enjoy!

For clarification: The Corps of Engineers practice of keeping the bayou at half
capacity for weeks on end is what causes the banks to slough into the bayou, not
trails. The banks are undercut by the moving water when draining the reservoirs
in West Houston. This was confirmed by a 1995 Brown and Root study of the
bayou.
