HUNTSVILLE WORK PARTY SATURDAY the 30th: Yes, friends it's work party time at
Huntsville State Park! We will be completing a TX Parks and Wildlife approved
reroute at the entrance of the trails. We will start at 8:00 a.m. this Saturday
across from the Interpretive Center. Bring gloves, flathead shovels, clippers,
and your water bottles. Not good at handling tools? Bring a camera and help out
that way instead. Please email Richard at kilo9@... so he can ensure the
right amount of food and drinks. This counts for PayDirt and GHORBA awards, so
please sign in when you arrive and leave. Don't forget to check out the new
race route afterwards. The race is on Sunday, Sept. 28th and is one of the
biggest TMBRA races in the state.

DOUBLE LAKE WORK PARTY AND RIDE SUNDAY, SEPT 7th: We will have a work party at
Double Lake to clean out the water diversions, remove some fallen trees, and
finish clipping the trails in preparation for the fall race in October. We will
start at 8:00 a.m. to try to beat the heat. Please bring shovels, clippers,
gloves, and your water bottles. Don't forget to bring your bike to do the group
ride afterwards. Double Lake is a great place to try your first TMBRA race!
To get to Double Lake, take 59 north to the Cold Spring exit. Head NW approx.
16 miles. The park entrance will be on your right before you get into town.
This counts for PayDirt and GHORBA awards, so please sign in when you arrive and
leave. We usually eat at a restaurant afterwards, too.

SEPT. MONTHLY MEETING: The September meeting will be on Monday, September 8th
at Otto's BBQ (rear of the building) starting at 7:00 p.m. Otto's is located on
Memorial Drive between Westcott and Detering Streets. Everyone is welcome at
the meetings, which last around an hour with social time afterwards. If the
trails at MP are dry, bring your bike and get a quick ride in beforehand!
