Hey Gang, With Chris out of the country for a couple weeks I thought we would
schedule a bunch of fun stuff for this weekend.
Saturday June 7.
National Trails Day, an annual, nationwide “celebration” of trails and the
benefits they offer everyone, will take place in Houston on Saturday, June 7 (8
a.m.) at Terry Hershey Park (north entrance), 15200 Memorial Drive. All trail
users are invited to come out, enjoy the Park and trail system, and take part in
the free activities and optional trail work project.

Sunday June 8th in the morning
Come join the fun at Jack Brooks Park Sunday June 8th when the GHORBA Gang gets
together and rides the trails at Jack Brooks Park. Coby and Edgar have led a
group that have totally refurbished the trails on the south side of town. We
will ride and then enjoy each others company with hotdogs and sausages, chips
and drinks.
And in the afternoon.........
I would like to extend an invitation to all organizations, clubs and
publications to join the first annual Houston Bike Swap and local bike shop
garage sale. Area cyclists will be able to find great deals on new and used
bikes, parts, accessories and clothing. Local bike shops, cycling clubs and
individuals will be invited to display products, sell/buy and trade during this
one day event.
Admission and parking to the swap meet is free of charge to the public and
cycling community.
The 2003 Houston Bike Swap will be held on Sunday June 8, 2003 (noon to 5 pm)
at the Continental Club (3700 Main Street, Houston, Texas). For more
