We have two (2) work parties this weekend. Love to see all of your smilin'
faces at one or both.

SATURDAY - HUNTSVILLE STATE PARK TRAIL WORK.

WHEN: Saturday, June 15th 9:00 a.m. start. (7:30 a.m. if you want to get
an early start with a few others).

WHERE: Please sign in at the ranger station by telling them you are doing
trail work with BikeLane and GHORBA. Meet at the wall near the
Interpretive Center. We will tell you which location you will work on.

WHAT: We will be repairing bridges, completing an approved reroute, moving
dirt, and clipping overgrown branches. Bring shovels, clippers, gloves,
bug repellent, your bike, and water (we'll be supplying water and Gatorade,
but it's nice to have your own as a backup). It will probably be easiest
to ride to some of the work locations. We will have pizza and drinks for
volunteers. We are confirming PayDirt point applicability for this work
party.

SUNDAY - ANT HILLS CLEAN UP

WHAT: Bayou clean up at the AntHills.

WHEN: Sunday, June 16th. from 8:30 am to 11:30 am

WHERE: Dairy Ashford Parking lot. The parking lot is on the east side of
D.A., south side of Bayou. It looks like the parking lot for the PGS
building but it isn't.

GOAL: Pick up the garbage (cans, bottles, lawn debris, old tires,
lumber,
bricks,) dumped along the bayou.

WHAT TO BRING: Bring gloves, bug repellent, a rake if you have one, a
wheelbarrow if you have one, and a pickup to help haul the garbage to the
pick-up site (if you have one). I know it is hot but a long sleeved shirt
and long trousers might help protect you from noxious vegetation.

Harris County Flood Control is providing the pickup and garbage bags.
Drinks and 'snacks' will be provided by GHORBA.
