Ladies and Gents,

a wonderful grassroot event will take place Memorial Day Weekend at Flat Rock
Ranch (www.flatrockranch.net).

We need a few volunteers for manning the check in/out, timing and registration.
If you'd like to donate your time in exchange for free Fat Tire beer and a
weekend filled with fun, please let me know. Duties are light and mostly fun.

As GHORBA is considering hosting together with the organizers of this event
(Austin Ridge Riders and Storm) a future summer grassroot racing mini-series,
this is a great opportunity for us to learn how to run and staff an event.
Please, volunteer to help us! :-)

Also, we need some old rags, tshirts, towels and similar. We'll keep them on
ice and hand them to the racers at the completion of their lap -if needed.
Please let me know if you have some to donate ot to bring to the race. :-)

Here is the weekend info.

A FREE 12 hr. endurance race will be held on Saturday, May 25th
(http://www.io.com/~arr/12hours.jpg). Several classes. Great opportunity to
train for the upcoming summer endurance events! Kewl schwag for top riders.
Fat Tire Ale and Cliff Bar are among the many sponsors. Cliff bar will attempt
to keep riders all "powered up", while Fat Tire will keep you "juiced up", by
donating several beer kegs. Every partecipant of legal drinking age will be
given a bracelet for access to the Fat Tire tent for FREE beer after the
completion of two laps. Happy riding. Happy drinking!

On Sunday, a FREE schwag raffle, named SCHWAG-A-PALOOZA will give away tons of
kewl stuff -including women-specific. Everyone who has paid land user fee ($10
for the whole weekend!) is automatically entered into the raffle. Happy
schwagging!

Other fun activities will award more FREE prices on Sunday.

The Wet Bikin' Outfit contest -a knock off of the more famous wet tshirt- will
be held at high noon on Sunday. Open to boys and girls, it will award a Mavic
221 Wheelset (fully built by master craftman Carlos) to the sexiest wet biker.
More awards for the contestants, including women-specific items. Time to plan on
that sexy spandex stuff you never dared wearing before!

Trail Trash Racing. Head-to-Head competition on 45 lb. monster bikes on short
track. Heat format, will determine winner. Test your skills, strength and
endurance in this hilarious race riddled with mystery events.

Fun camping, pitfire side chatting, tons of social activities and a huge BBQ
complete this fun grassroot event.
