Subject: Bicyclists' on-line survey: Cycling & the Government
Greetings Fellow Cyclists -
I'd like you to complete an on-line survey at the website of
Bicycling Magazine www.bicycling.com called Cycling and the Government
(middle section on first page).
Those of you who can, please add a link on your group's website
to the survey as well as forward this info to cyclists everywhere.
Here's the whole story:
National Bike Summit in DC March 6 - 8 - this is basically the
bicycle industry's lobbying days on Capitol Hill in DC, hosted
by our friends at the League of American Bicyclists. I know most
of you can't go, but please take time to complete a survey we've
put together on the Bicycling Magazine website www.bicycling.com
called Cycling and the Government (left side of the first page).
The point is to have some data to present to members of Congress
while we lobby for continued funding for bike lanes, trails,
education, etc., when federal legislation is up for reauthorization
late in 2003. Take a few minutes and complete the survey, please
- and maybe you can go the Summit next year when it'll be really
important to let Congress know how important bicycling is.
