Hello,

The Houston Bicycle Advisory Committee will meet Thursday, Sept 13 at
6:30pm in the Two Houston Center, 909 Fannin, Suite 3700 in the offices
of Maloney, Martin, and Mitchell. The bicycle racks are located on the
west side of the building and parking validation will be offered for
those who drive.

A representative from Klotz and Assoc., the consultant group working
with the City of Houton on the bikeways, will give a presentation and
be available to answer your questions.

Please let me know if you have any items for the agenda.

Also, the Opening Ceremonies of Museum District Day are at 9:30am on
Saturday, Sept. 8. This will give us an opportunity to survey the
availability of bike parking in the museum district and mix it with a
bit of fun. We'll take photos of the good and bad examples of bike
parking. (I have to RSVP by Tuesday, Sept 2...so please let me know if
you'll join us...you're encouraged to bring a friend.)

8:00 am Meet at La Madeline Bakery at 6205 Kirby
8:30 Ride to survey the Brays Bayou detour at Fannin St bridge
construction.
9:00 Arrive at Contemporary Arts Museum 5216 Montrose Blvd
....begin surveying bike parking
9:30 Reception
10:00 Opening Ceremonies

After the opening ceremonies, I'm sure the group will split up. Some
may want to enjoy the museums, some may want to get back home, but, some
of us will have to make sure the bike parking survey is complete! Here
is a list of the institutions that we need to visit.
