CC * 45 * MD * 8 AM * Thurmont Community Park (TCP)
North of Thurmont. We will head north to Emmitsburg and Fairfield on scenic rolling back roads in a rural setting. We will explore the northern Frederick valley with uninterrupted views of the Catoctin Mountains. A rest stop is planned at mile 21. Ride will be swept. No go on wet roads. BB * 57 * MD * 9 AM * Monocacy MS (MMS)
Knock, Knock, Knockin' on the President's Door. I did this ride for the first time last month and it was really pretty. Quiet roads. A nice 12 mile warm-up before a little climbing through Catoctin Mountain Park. It's almost all downhill from mile 22. Let's hope the holiday weekend will keep the president away. I saw in the FNP that Park Central is closed for security reasons, so the BB ride may have to alter their route and go up Rt. 77 instead. 

 

I think I'm going to do the early Thurmont ride.
