Dear Flump, DD and Thrown,
As you may have heard over the past few days I would like to take Flump to Tour this summer. Tour is Ultimate's version of a national championships, with the best teams from all over the country playing in the same event (for more info see the bottom of this page). To help me plan this I'd like to know how many of you are interested in coming along. If we do have enough players then I'd like to send a team to all the 9 tournaments in the Mixed and Open events.
This would be a great opportunity for the team as a whole as well as for everyone who goes along as a partof it. Not only will you have the experience of playing against the best ultimate players in the country and going to new places but you will be able to do it with quite possibly the coolest ultimate team in the country. On top of that I also guarantee you that going to tour is the number one best way to improve your Ultimate. If you go to all of these events you will be considerably better at the game this time next year, no matter what your current skill level.
For the moment I'm not asking for a definite in/out lists, I just need everyone to take a look at the dates of the tour events listed below and E-mail to tell me if you want to go to tour, how many you would probably be able to make (just an estimate) and which one you
would like to enter (Open, Mixed or both). This is just to gage interest and is not a commitment saying you will come. Anyone who is interested should also join the Flump mailing list as most future info on this will be sent through it instead of the Thrown and DD list. You can find it at:

However in the mean time if any of you have any Questions then please E-mail me them (or ask me at a practice) and I'll do my best to answer them.
Thank you for your time and I hope to hear from you all soon,
Joe "Flembo"
PS: Could someone please forward this on to the DD mailing list?
What Is Tour?
For those who don't know Tour is the UK Ultimate community's version or a national championships. They are the biggest and highest quality Ultimate tournaments you are likely to find in Britain. Each tour event is an outdoor tournament (each held in a different part of the country) that lasts a weekend and usually has 30+ teams attending. These are the tournaments that everyone wants to do well and everyone will be fielding their strongest team. So not only will you have fun at tour but you will probably play as much ultimate as you can handle. Your position in the previous tour helps determine
your seeding in the next one and, more importantly, if you qualify for Nationals (the last tour event of the year). If you need more info on how it works then either take a look at www.ukultimate.com or just ask.
