To all of Florida Judo,

 

It is with both regret and hope for the betterment of Florida Judo, that I, Jhonny Prado am resigning as President of FJI.  Unfortunately, my ambitions lie in the hopes of continuing my place as a Coach for the National team, rather than a political figure in Florida.  I am unable to devote my energy to the coaching of judo as long as I am involved in the politics of judo  As president I am naming Humberto Lopez, President of FJI until the elections are held in early March.  I think the entire state is on the same page, except for a small few who feel that continuously "rocking the boat" will help.  Unfortunately, as we have seen, that just divides Florida even more.  I look forward to doing what I do best. Working hard to make my  my players, my team, my state and my country.....the best they can be.  I will continue to do so, after the elections, with the new leaders having mine and my clubs full support.
