Re: [Florida_Judo] Jan 28 FJI meeting

To Ms. Alicia Warnick-Ellis,

Ms. Warnick-Ellis:

First of all Florida Judo Inc., is not in a state of disarray as you claim.  The newly appointed administration approved by its members on the December 3rd, 2005 meeting which you did not attend is working to foresee the problems that FJI had.

Second of all, you are not an authorized executive committee member to call for a special meeting for FJI.  It was approved my its members on December 3rd, 2005, to have a special meeting on January 21, 2006, in Central Florida to discuss all issues with Florida Judo Inc., and its bylaws in conjunction with the 2006 Junior Awards Luncheon, which will be held at Central Florida Judo and Jujitsu Dojo, 248 Hatteras Blvd., Clermont, Fl. and is being held by Bill Andreas.  The special meeting will start at 1:00 pm and the Awards Luncheon will begin at 4:00 pm.

Third of all, you stated that the USA Judo National office has declared that FJI doesn't exist and has taken over the functioning of the business.  Ms. Warnick-Ellis, the USA Judo National Office can not declare us as a non existing corporation or take over the functions of the business.  The only thing they can do is not recognize us as a group B State Organization.   They have the right to do that and choose a Group B Organization.  So for your information, Florida Judo Inc., is an existing corporation in the State of Florida, operating and functioning in it's daily business and will continue to do so.  The FJI members that attended the December 3rd meeting in 2005 that you did not attend voted and decided to have its elections on March 3rd, 2006.  The newly elected officers in March, 2006, will continue to run Florida Judo Inc.  At that time all corporation documents, financial statements and equipment will be handed over to the new administration.

Even if the USA Judo National office decides not to recognize Florida Judo Inc., as its Group B organization at the national meeting in April, 2006, Florida Judo Inc., will continue to operate as a corporation in the State of Florida, as a state organization in the State and it will continue to support its state members that belong to Florida Judo, Inc.  We will continue to exist just like any other Judo organization in the State of Florida.

Your opinions and comments are welcomed, but your action taken here is unacceptable because you are not an authorized executive committee member and the statements made towards Florida Judo Inc., are incorrect.  Especially coming from a member that has not attended a meeting or supported the organization in the last 3 years, but has made it a point to stir up chaos and confusion upon its active members in the last 3 months.

Humberto Lopez
Executive Vice President of FJI

"Special" FJI Meeting Announcement

A special business meeting of Florida Judo Inc. will be held on January 28, 2006.

WHEN:   11 am

WHY:     FJI is in disarray and we need to take action now. The USA Judo National office has declared that FJI doesn't generally exist and has taken over the functioning of the business.  The only duly elected officers left as of today are Jack Williams and Dale Thompson and no one else is legally able to make any decisions on behalf of FJI or it's members.  Some things we will do at
this meeting include:

Elect temporary officers
Revise and vote for new bylaws
Review the records of the corporation
Determine the date of the March 2006 election meeting

HOW:     Each USA Judo 2006 registered club will hold one vote. NO
EXCEPTIONS. Proof of club registration must be provided at the meeting.

If you need more information on how to register your club, please contact David Ellis at awejudo@... or Monica at the USA Judo National office.

WHERE:          Central Florida Judo and Jujitsu dojo, 248 Hatteras Blvd, Clermont, FL email Bill Andreas at senseijudo@... for further information

From Miami area:
Take I-95 North to the Turnpike. Drive on the Turnpike
North until SR 50 exit 272 WEST towards Clermont. Drive on SR50 for about 5 miles and turn RIGHT onto Citrus Tower Blvd. Turn RIGHT onto Hatteras Blvd.

From Tallahassee:
Take I-10 to I-75 SOUTH. Merge onto Florida Turnpike South.
Merge onto US 27 South/FL 25 South at exit 289. Turn left onto Citrus Tower Blvd.  Turn Left onto Hatteras Blvd.

Please review the included bylaws (IF your account is setup for Individual e-mail, if it is not just request from David or Alicia for the attachment). We need to revise them quickly to meet the deadline set by USA Judo.  Some changes include new conflict resolution guidelines and new voting guidelines.  Anyone who wants to be an officer in FJI must be a registered member of USA Judo in good standing.

As always, if you have any questions, please contact Alicia or David Ellis at awejudo@...
