1) The Sunshine State Games Rules Meeting for all
referees, technical officials, coaches, and players
start at 6:00 pm on (Friday) June 17, 2005 at
tournament site.
2) This is also a call for all referees that are going
to work the 2005 Sunshine State Games [Judo Part](more

The referee attire for this event will be the IJF
Standard (black blazer, black tie, white dress shirt
(short Sleeves), gray dress pants, and black socks).
3) PLEASE Notify me of anybody that plans on testing
for F.J.I. Regional Referee so I can have the proper
amount of written test made available.
For those referees that are testing for F.J.I.
Regional Referee, F.J.I. Regional Written Referee
Testing will occur after the Rules Meeting on Friday,
June 17, 2005. Min. Test score of 70% on the written
test.
The F.J.I. Regional Practical will occur during the
competition both days (Saturday, June 18 and Sunday,
June 19, 2005).
Min age to test for F.J.I. Regional Referee:
18 years of age
Min rank to test for F.J.I. Regional Referee:
Sr. Sankyu (3rd Brown Belt)
Must have a current USJI, USJF, or USJA membership to
test for F.J.I. Regional Referee.
Must have proof of the Age, rank and USJI, USJF, or
USJA membership in order to test.
Fee for F.J.I. Regional: $20 cash (only have to pay if
you pass)
It is STRONGLY recommend that all the F.J.I. Regional
candidates attend the Rules Meeting listed above.

1. Pre-registration fee is $20 per division entered
and includes an official Sunshine State Games t-shirt.
On-site registration entry fee is $30 per division
entered and includes an official Sunshine State Games
t-shirt. On-site registration will only be accepted
during the times designated times listed below.
2. All pre-registration entries must be postmarked by
May 20, 2005. [NOTE: 1 day earlier than previous
e-mail]
3. Each applicant must complete an Individual Entry
Form and Waiver of Liability.
4. Each applicant must confirm their registration at

5. Entry fee family discount for Junior division
pre-registration only. 1st Jr. Entry - $20 per
division, 2nd Jr. Entry - $10.00 per division, 3rd Jr.
Entry or more - $5.00 per division.
6. Competitors may compete in only one Shiai division
per day.
7. Please note Kata partner name on application under
column labeled "Partner".
8. Please name Kata when competing in open Kata
division under column labeled
"Rating/Rank/Class/Belt."
9. Men & Women Juniors must provide proof of age by
providing a copy of birth certificate.
10. ALL REGISTRANTS MUST WEIGH-IN AT DESIGNATED TIMES.

FORMAT:
1. Texas Match System will be used.
2. Straight double elimination format. The last three
players to go out will win first, second and third
place.
3. Match time: 3 minutes.
4. Shiai compettiion will be by age group and weight.
All divisions will be Open belt and Class.
5. Kata competition will be coed all ages.
6. Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals will be awarded to
the top three finishers in each event.
7. Awards will be given for outstanding Judokai Junior
Female, Junior Male, Senior Female, and Senior Male.
8. Event Director has the right to change the
competitor's wegith division and categories as deemed
necessary.
