I was asked to forward this on to this list.

Greetings to All,
Hope all is well in your world, and your Judo program
is stronger that ever. The reason I am writing, is
that I am looking for college age judoka for the fall
semester. As you may or may not have heard Cumberland
College won the Collegiate Nationals in April, and we
are the number one men's collegiate judo team in the
nation, a feat that we are very proud of. However, I
have several that will be graduating and I need to
replace them. That means I have scholarship money
available to incoming students.
The advantage to coming to Cumberland is the size of
the school. We have a 17 to 1 student to teacher
ratio, so the kids will get individual attention if
they need it, no getting lost in the crowd here. Our
student population is 1,700.
As for the judo program, we pay for all entry fees to
the tournaments we attend, and food and lodging is
paid for by the school as well. We have our own dojo
with two full competition mat areas to practice on.
What I expect from the team is:
#1 Keep your grades up, they will be here to first and
foremost get an education.
#2 Come to judo practice, we practice 4 time a week,
and attend between 12 and 14 tournaments per school
year.
If you have anyone male or female who you think might
benefit from a program like this, please contact me.
I can be reached at.
