Re: Rebuilding my secondhand Flevo Racer

I've finished rebuilding my flevobike, and used up al the money i had.
I'm very satisfied with the result

i used campagnolo cranks
a reinforced chain
a nexus 7 with rollerbrakes on the front an the rear wheel
new brake handles
an old fashioned thumb gear shifter for nexus
spd pedals athough i still need to buy the shoes
an airhorn (becouse dutch people think the hear birds when u ring an
ordenairy bike bell)
Schwalbe blizzard tires
foam grips
a 16 tooth sprocet
a chaintensioner becouse in the first 7 gears my chain was hitting the
front deraileur (shimano 600)
i used my schimano 600 rear deraileur for chain tensioning
a bike computer
an a bike airpump

whem al that was finisched i atemted riding the bike
the first hour was very frustrating, after that i ran circles in a
empty parking gargage for a couple of hours.
the second day i atempted my first runs trough city traffic
and although i'm still not feeling very comfortable riding the bike,
i'm confedent that it will come within a lot more practise.
somthing i would not have thought some days ago

maby when i have some more funds i'm going to have my flevo repainted
im also thinking of welding lugage racks in the middle and above the
rear wheel, lager cooling disks for moutain riding. and fitting some
fenders, no its not imposible :)

still open for tips on how to best learn how to control the bike and
building tips, thanks in forward
