To use a common (20'') bike offroad or for climbing, try to put the rear
fork of a racer on it. I did it on my voyage through the pyrenees to
santiago de la compostella. Works great: 13 % climbing is OK and offroad
the grip on the surface is far better.
But at least it's not where the flevo is designed for. So for real
offroad activities use a common mountainbike.
