The steeper headtube was always better. The caveat being
that the trail must be kept at around 13-15 cm.

Thanks for that advice. Won’t the pedal steering effect be greater though as the headtube gets closer to perpendicular to the line of push through the hips, or do you have to move the entire front fork assembly back and under more to keep the headtube pointing to the hips to compensate for this effect? Is this why some people use a steering damper?
