Welcome to our new subscribers, and, our "old hands". I hope you
enjoy this week's news wrap up, and don't forget, if you just can't
wait for the weekly digest, you can get the "daily updates" at the
web site (http://www.news-digests.com/2am/).

To those of you who have donated to 2AM News, a heart felt thank you
... it's folks like you who donate to this publication and others
like it that keep the Net a lively and informative source of news
that you can't get in the big media and networks.

To those of you who haven't donated, well, what can I say? 2AM, like
all Rational Review publications, is edited by a "human" (me) not a
web spider, and is primarily made possible by reader donations. Every
week, a few generous souls donate a few bucks, and, some of you have
sent a note saying something like "I don't have much, I wish it could
be more". Every little bit helps, because as I'm sure you know there
are some who'll just sit on their wallets and not give a dime, and
then when the publication goes under, be the first to bitch and moan
about it. One interesting thing about working for donations (on RRND,
our flagship publication, and on 2AM News,) is that you find out
pretty quickly who really cares about liberty and freedom, and who
are just "free riders". It's very interesting that some of the folks
I KNOW really are having financial problems still manage to kick in
$10.00 or more , and some of the folks I KNOW have what I call "money
to burn" ( in fancy terms, "discretionary income") never give a
penny. I do want you all to know how much donations are appreciated,
and that it is YOU folks that are donating that are keeping 2AM "on
the Net".
