Arizona Region, SCCA Presents

The 1000 Rally An Arizona high desert back road tour
Spend late winter in the Arizona desert, where it’s sunny and warm most of the time? What could be bad about that? The 1000 is a mostly unpaved tour of the scenic areas of Coconino, Yavapai, and Maricopa counties. Including (but not limited to) Tortilla Flat stagecoach stop, Crown King gold mine town. Perkinsville Road (you won’t believe this until you drive it) and the incredible red rocks of Sedona. The week of rallying includes passage controls, interesting roads, reasonable start times, and plenty of socializing time. Competitors will contribute to the success of the event by working controls (run / work); a concept that allows a lot of controls without depleting the competitor base. SCCA Tour Rally classes E, L, S.

Entry is limited to the first 25 fully paid teams

bullet $50 Deposit will hold your entry until January 1, 2007. Use the entry form to submit deposit.

The event is not suitable for vehicles with little ground clearance or low profile tires. If you rent, we recommend a small SUV and, if possible, a full size spare. There will be drastic temperature differences between Fountain Hills / Payson / Cottonwood. Expect lows down to 35° and highs to 85°. Precipitation should be low, but be prepared for drastic cooling after sundown
Discount for entries pre-paid by 2/1; Pre-registration required by 3/15

The AZ Region site is under re-construction, but we expect to have a Rally area of ths site soon, meanwhile we have found a temporary home  for the flyer and entry form at http://retiredaz.4t.com/rally%20files/1000.htm.
