Here are the official results of the 2009 Summer Soltstice cross-town event held
June 20-21 at Hickory Run State Park and Francis E Walter Dam.

http://www.pdga.com/tournament-results?TournID=8636

Thanks for all 94 players who came out and braved a combination of crazy, wet,
windy, foggy weather. Thanks to those who helped prep the courses. And the
biggest thanks to tournament director Mike Solt for the tons of work he did in
organizing the event, securing sponsors, added cash, a GREAT player's party, and
all the other little things that go unnoticed.

Thanks to Andrew "Big Dog" Sweeton & Bob Ziade for their help as an assistant
TDs. Thanks also to Jeff "Crawdaddy" Manatt, Ray "R-Man" Rogers, and Eric
Eichhorst for helping with scorecards. Thanks also to Alan Mindas and all the
other grunts who did things like picking up CTP's and tee/hole sponsor signs
after the event.

This will be my last update before the Summer Soltstice gets underway this
weekend!
We had a work day at F.E. Walter Dam on Saturday and all holes are mowed -
fairways and greens have not looked this good since last year's event!
Pre-reg is up to 65 players from PA, NJ, DE, NY, CA, VA
http://www.pdga.com/tournament-results?TournID=8636 which means we are getting
close to being half full! TD Mike Solt will be accepting pre-reg's online up
until Thursday night at midnight, this is the only way to guarantee a spot in
the tournement! Pre-reg can be done in person at Hickory Run on Friday night as
well - we are hosting random draw doubles at 5:30pm, $5 per head at HR.
Players party is all set for Saturday night - free beer & free camping for all
players!
Sweet players packs for ALL players!

Weather looks to be in the mid 70's both days - promises to be a great weekend
in the Poconos!

Greetings,

I am an ex-Sedgleyite living in Michigan, and I am here to tell you about a
super cool disc golf web site that is totally free and awesome. I am not
scamming anyone. I used to play tags and dubs at Sedgley and eat the soup and
everything. How is EMann doing?

Anyway, you can make a profile for yourself, keep track of league stats and do a
bunch more. Come check it out. Like I said, it's free and it's fun. Also, I
know the guy who runs the site and he is very cool and willing to tweak things
if someone has a legitimate request.

Peace,

JD

BEWARE - if you visit the sjdgc.com site, there is a RNMB worm that gets into
your computer and tries to get into your head.
It comes out and drinks your beer, partakes of your soup and will even try to
get into your car. Extra precaution must be taken.

It took me until now to even see your post. Does that mean I'm
looking at 2037?

I was hoping to go to Tockwogh, but without a cottage, the wife
vetoed.

On a brigther note, Libby made a nice putt on hole 9 last Sunday. She
also "completed" Blue hole 6 (with only about 60-80 feet of walking
up) in about 11 throws or so. A funny thing happened while playing
hole 10. A game of hide-and-seek broke out. So much for getting in a
few holes....

I think I'm gonna have to buy one of those soft-grip, faux-leather,
cushion thingies for the steering wheel, maybe a leopard print.

A couple years from now you won't even remember .. .. you just
won't. Just grip the steering wheel tighter and resist the urge to
mash your head against it. Ahhh . ... 2027 is just around the

Cool. A disc golf road trip. Boy, do I like disc golf road trips.

Yeah, right. If only.

Have a great time. Send me a postcard or something. (Postcard? That's
sooooo 2nd millenium.)
