On ESPN's Sports Center this morning, Bon Jovi and Laurie made a
joint announcement concerning the future of football in Philadelphia.
They stated, and I quote, "due to the Philadelphia Soul's amazing
ability to put points on the board, and the fact that their uniforms
'really rock' (I believe Bon Jovi made that comment), the Soul would
be moving into the Linc effective immediately. The Eagles will
establish a new home field for their 1994/5 season at a High School
Stadium somewhere in the Philadelphia area yet to be determined". End
of quote.
They went on to say, "the Soul have just signed free agents Duce
Staley and Troy Vincent. They have also signed Hugh Douglas and all
of the other former great Eagles players who were let go by the team
in the last 2 years". When questioned by the media as to why they
wanted to join the Soul, each of these former Eagles had the same
reply, "they have rockin' uniforms man!".
