***You can't set the serve.
***No tips (No fingertip control).
***No setting over the net.
Note: If the ball is overset and is in the plane of the net, and
the blocker contacts the ball first, then it is an overset and the
blocker's team gets the point. Also, if a player makes a dig in a
setting motion it is the referee's judgment as to whether that
player was trying to set the ball.
***Players may go under the net (as there is no center line) as
long as they don't interfere with opponent.
***Players need not rotate on court. They just need keep the
same serve rotation.
Note: Players in coed fours should rotate male and female servers
in coed, but it won't be enforced unless requested by an opposing
team.

**Matches will consist of 2 games straight to 18, win by 2
(Cap of 21) using rally scoring. One thirty-second time-out per
game is allowed.
**Two minutes of on-the-net warm up will be allowed before
each match. Any additional warm-up time should be done before the
match. In other words, teams should expect to be asked to start
hitting at the net upon taking the court.
Note: During pre-game warm-ups hit away from your opponent's
hitting line & where they're warming up. During the game either
roll the ball back to your opponent if it is dry or toss it to a
body near the net.
**Teams should be ready to play 2 minutes after they are
announced. If not, game #1 is forfeited and the offending team(s)
has until 15 minutes after their start time to field a team for game
#2.
**Coed teams may play with a minimum of one female and no more
than two males. Two players are needed to avoid forfeit.

**The poles will function as the antennas. If a ball hits one
of the wooden net dowels, turnbuckles, wires, or clips, and goes
over, then it will be considered a fault. If it goes over that area
between where there would be antennae on an indoor net & the poles
we will consider that to be ok and play on.
**A ball that causes a boundary line to move shall be
considered in.
Note: The ball mark doesn't matter.
**The server gets only one toss.
**The ball hitting the net on the serve is not a fault.
**A player may not enter an adjacent court to play a ball if
there's a game on that court.
Note: USAV rules actually allow a little leeway here in the case of
a "spectacular" play.

*In beach fours you can momentarily lift the ball in defense of a
hard driven ball.
Note: Normally, beach rules do not allow players to set non-hard driven balls.
But in the interest of adapting to indoor players who have enough trouble not
being able to set the serve, we will allow leeway here. I would just encourage
refs to be more apt to call lifts in those cases, and more likely in "A"
matches.
*Players may not save the ball from the other side of the net
unless it is something like a championship match where there are no
other matches going on and it has been established by the referee
that that will be allowed from the start. (This is for the safety of
spectators, other players and referees).
