Basically, matches are ON unless there is an extreme weather situation
going on. The way it works in Indiana is that storms will brew up
right around game time, and so it is hard to postpone any games when
you don't know whether a fast moving weather system or pop up storm is
going to move through or nearby. Basically, in the summer, we won't
play in heavy rain, lightning or tornado warnings.
In the early season however cold is the issue. If there is a
combination of cold, rain and wind it's possible we might cancel. It
also depends on what night it is. Thursday night coed and Monday men's
have been the hardiest of the leagues, followed by Tuesday coed, and
then Wednesday coed and the Monday women's.
Regarding tonight it won't be postponed. It was colder the first
Monday night on May 2nd, and on that night people were working up a
sweat in actuality (it was like a mid autmn football game). But you
need to get foot protection. After 15 minutes the cold can get to
you. I have neoprene sand sox in the shack for sale for anyone wants
them ($25). If you wear them you really don't feel the temperature.
