Hello Florida,

The Sunrise Sprints are right around the corner. This early December race is not only a great way to keep your rowers excited about entering Winter Training but also gives you, the coach, an early preview of where your boats stand in the rankings. We are making strides to make this years regatta even bigger and better then last years and hope to see all of you there!

To register, please go to Regattacentral.com. Under the news section you'll find some updates for this year along with some general things that all coaches should know before attending.

If you would like your teams blade on the t-shirt please register at least one of your boats by Monday, November 23rd. Only those who have started registration by November 23rd will appear on the regatta t-shirt.

Also, Let us do the cooking! We will be providing a breakfast and lunch for a great low price and it'll be one less thing your team has to worry about! Attached you will find a menu and there is an option for a pre-order. The pre-order price will be cheaper then the prices during the regatta.

If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact me.

See you all soon,

--

3rd annual Head of the Giblet – Final Updates

We are less than 2 weeks from the Giblet and 1 day from the entry deadline!!

All necessary information is found on Regatta Central and all the good stuff (like pictures of trophies) can be found on the “Head of the Giblet” Facebook page.  Make sure you become a Fan on FB so you can see pictures of the All Points trophies (now up) and event trophies (soon to come).

The entry deadline is Tomorrow night (Friday 11/13, midnight) and the event schedule on Regatta Central shows event times with the grand finale of Mixed events ending our regatta.

Mixed Events:  If you find you have one to many or one two few rowers for the mixed events, please let me know.  I will maintain a database so if you want your rower(s) to race in a mixed event we can make it happen!

Thophies & Medals:  All-points trophies and first-place plaques for (awarded for select events) have been made!  Pictures & information on which events receive plaques will be added to our FaceBook page over the next week.  All events will receive 1st, 2nd and 3rd place medals.

The Gobbler Sandwich is back & a Frozen Turkey will again be awarded to the top Master 1x (men and women).

Weigh Inns & Practice:  Keep an eye on our FaceBook page to see if weigh inns will be open on Friday afternoon.  All crews can practice until 5:30 p.m. Friday 11/20 on the Giblet course.  If your trailer is arriving on Friday, please let me know the expected time so that a volunteer can open the gate to the trailer parking area.

Safety is always our first priority!  Penalties WILL be assessed to crews that fail to follow traffic patterns while practicing on Friday.  Coaches, please make sure your scullers and Coxswains are aware of traffic patterns.  Spot check quizzes of course rules and traffic patterns will be done before crews are allowed to launch.  All course maps can be found on Regatta Central and our FaceBook page.

We look forward to seeing you on November 21!

-Katie Davis
