RE: 2009 FSRA State Championship
As some of you may have heard, the Tampa Bypass Canal's water level is at a historic low. We've determined that we will not be able to hold the race there this year. As a result, we have been looking for an alternative location to hold the race while also maintaining our orignally scheduled date.
The FSRA Board has voted to hold this year's FSRA Championship at North Metro Park in Sarasota. The lake is relatively near I-75, and is a fresh water lake.

I look forward to supporting this new venue. I appreciate the work of both the Sarasota rowing community, particularly Dragos "Alex" Alexandru of SSYRP to put together an alternative location at the last minute.
I have attached a list of hotels near the race site. Please do not hesitate to call me with any questions or concerns.
