This camp is required for any athlete that is interested in being a part of any the US Rowing Junior Women's National Team programs, including Selection Camp or Junior Development Camp.
Highlights of the ID Camp program include:
* The Junior Women’s National Team -- who we are and what the selection camp and development camp are all about (open to parents and coaches).
* The learning experience of the 2008 Junior World Championships with a question and answer session with a member of the 2008 squad -- where members are available. (Open to parents and coaches).
* Expectations and things you can do to become a more effective rower/coxswain including how to use tapes (both audio and video) for feedback, technique issues and review/demonstrations of core strengthening/circuit training exercises (open to coaches).
Special note for coxswains: If possible, please bring some audio of your coxing (on tape or CD) to the ID camp. The audio should include one race piece (1,500m or 2,000m) and 10 minutes of practice. If it is not possible to get audio from a recent race prior to the ID camp, you may mail it to Justin Moore (contact info below) by early April.
All participants must be current members of USRowing, have a current liability waiver on file, and have a birth year between 1991 and 1995. Please check these requirements with our membership department BEFORE camp.
If you fail to register ahead of time for the camp you MUST bring your USRowing member number with you on the day of camp. You will also be required to sign a waiver on site before participating.
To obtain or renew a membership to USRowing, please visit the Web site at www.usrowing.org or contact member services at 800-314-4769. Each participant must bring a signed USRowing waiver that can be downloaded from the USRowing Web site.
