Dear Brice,
 
The Tampa Bypass Canal Rowing Council would like to recognize the efforts and achievements of these individuals who belong to FSRA teams and represented the state of Florida at the 2008 FISA World Rowing Junior Championships.

* Molly Hammrick, Tampa, FL - U.S. Junior Women’s Eight, winning the first U.S. gold medal in the junior women’s eight event in the history of the championships.
* Ivan Lys-Dobradin, Winter Park, FL - U.S. Junior Men's Eight, Bronze Medal.
* Kyle Schmidt, Sarasota, FL - U.S. Junior Men's Four with Coxswain, finished second in the B final.
* Gabriel Fort, Miami, FL - U.S. Junior Men's Quad, finished third in the D final, for 21st place overall.
* Harold Fort, Miami, FL - U.S. Junior Men's Quad, finished third in the D final, for 21st place overall.
* Matthew Sobotka, Sarasota, FL- U.S. Junior Men's Quad, finished third in the D final, for 21st place overall.
* Ian Stewart, Sarasota, FL - U.S. Junior Men's Quad, finished third in the D final, for 21st place overall.
 
Through the partnership of the Tampa Bypass Canal Rowing Council and Florida Scholastic Rowing Association, there is a cooperative effort to elevate and provide first class racing at the Tampa Bypass Canal allowing for more student participation and the increased caliber of rowers evident by the recent success at the FISA World Championships.
