I know some of you know Gavin very well, and some of you have never heard of him. He used to coach with me @ Bishop Moore, and then we both went over to OARS. He's put most of his life on hold to row and he's made the Lt. 8+ that will race in Munich in a couple of weeks. As we are all aware, USRowing doesn't fund non-Olympic events too well and Gavin is going to have to spend around $4000 to represent our nation. He thought about selling a kidney on the black market, but after some careful thought decided against it for obvious recovery reasons. Other than that, without a meaningful job (not too many employers cater to the random periods of absenteeism that goes along with training and competing at that level) Gavin is asking his friends for a few dollars. Thankfully, his brother is technologically advanced and set him up with a website that is easy and secure for donations...not to mention tax deductable for all of you big spenders.
In all seriousness, Gav could use any amount of help from you or your team. All you have to do is click on the link (I copied it twice for emphasis...something I picked up in marketing class).
Thanks for your support,
