Thank you. A very suitable nomination, in my humble opinion.

We will send out a solicitation for nominations next week, so
excellent anticipation on your part.

The Franklin award will be decided by the current members of the
referee commission ... hopefully we'll have completed the selection by late
October. I think most, but perhaps not all current members know Marty. I'll
leave it up to you and others who support your nomination to decide whether
to send anything further in support.

explains why we all think so highly of him. Yes, the Men's Varsity 8 Trophy
is named for him in the Florida Scholastic Championships, but that hardly
seems enough recognition for the direct or indirect impact he has had on
