Subject: [rowingmasters] question from a club:

1. Do most clubs have a letter of agreement or contract with their coaches?

We have a concern about a coach who alienates certain master and junior
rowers....and will limit or exclude them from races and fair coaching.
These are
not slouches but very hard workers in the gym, on the water and with club
committments. The coach may not like them for one reason or another and
simply
ignore them. This does not follow our mission statement.

This a very capable racing coach who delivers fast boats but ..... at what
cost? Your thoughts?

2. What are coaches being paid these days? And how, by the season? by the
hour? by the year?
