As many of you are aware, fundraising is both challenging and time
consuming for both the student athletes as well as parents. There
are not many opportunities to collect necessary funding for the FM
crew team that does not require a significant amount of time and
effort in planning and execution.

One way to augment our fundraising efforts is to consider the Donor
Choice option that is part of the annual United Way campaign. Many
of you already make contributions to the United Way of Central New
York, which provides funding to hundreds of not-for-profit human
services organizations in our community. The FM-Crewsters, while
not one of the core agencies, is NOW one of them.

It is easy. If you work for a company in the area that distributes
pledge cards and wish to allocate all or a portion of your annual
contribution, simply look for the Donor Choice section on the pledge
card in section 4. Enter "Fayetteville-Manlius Crewsters, Inc." as
the organization, the amount you wish to allocate, and our address,
which is P.O. Box 351, Manlius, NY 13104. Then, return the
completed card to your United Way Coordinator. It’s that simple.

The United Way campaign has already begun and many of you will go
through the annual campaign process in the upcoming weeks.
Donations can also come from family and friends.

Please consider allocating a portion of your pledge to help maintain
our program. We have a bare bones budget and every little bit helps.
