Dear Fellow Crewsters:
As stated in previous e-mails, the Syracuse Chargers Rowing Club
will for the first time have a float in this year's Syracuse St. Patrick's
Day Parade.
High school rowers from F- M High School, Liverpool, Hennigher,
Nottingham & Baldwinsville High Schools and their parents and families
are invited to march with the Chargers. This can be a good opportunity
for the F- M rowers and their parents to meet other F- Mers and those
from other schools. Please consider participating; there is no hidden cost.
The parade is this Saturday, the 17th. The Chargers are in the
5th division of the parade which will meet between the Mattydale
Fire Dept. and St. Marie Among the Iroquois. We will be meeting
just west of the 690 overpass on Erie Blvd. W. Please be there by 1:30;
look for the crew trailer loaded with crew shells.
The parade is collecting food for the St. Patrick's Hunger Project and
all participating are encouraged to bring a donation of food such as canned
items, cereal, pasta, rice, baby cereal, etc. Food will go to the Food Bank
for distribution.
