Hi again,
My name is Robert Yula. I have been riding since about 1984, when an Italian
friend of mine, Ernest Quagliariello (yeah, he's a real italian, from Italy)
gave me a kabuki 12 speeder at the age of 13. I rode that bicycle, (which, at
the time, I didn't know any better, so I removed the small front chainring, and
the lowest two gears in the rear cassette. Don't ask me how I got the rear
cassette off without any real tools. I also removed the back brake. I was 13. I
thought I didn't need it.)
Well, been riding ever since. It's my favorite thing to do. I love racing too,
and race occasionally, but usually I'll only do races that involve alot of
climbing. (I'm 5'6" and about 140 lbs when I'm in shape). But, I still love
riding in the pack, and meeting other cyclists. I'm not a snob, and love the
camaraderie of the sport.
I look forward to seeing some of you on the Weekend ride in the future. I tried
to get there this past Saturday, but I got lost. (who knew). I'll try again
sometime in August. I work most weekends as an english teacher.
Can anyone tell me some info about the weekday rides? I can make those.
Thanks,
Rob Yula.
