Re: [FHLShanghaiCycling] SHANGHAI BIKE RACING BLOG - build our community! http://shanghaivelo.blogspot.com/

Fantastic initiative Rob!
(And I am not saying this because you posted one of my message!)
There was indeed a real need for centralized information point beyond FHL activities.
Thanks for this!
Cheers, JP.

Hi All,

Recently we have been getting lots of emails so I have decided to centralise everything into a Shanghai cycling and racing blog http://shanghaivelo.blogspot.com/

This blog is aimed at supporting racing and cycling culture WHERE WE RIDE! Please forward me posts you would like uploaded to rob_w_lamb@...

I am happy for you to sell items, update team mates (this means you Specialized and Trek), and use the blog to promote your team. The blog will grow and evolve with the goal of building  our local cycling community.

JP I have updated your info from below already!

Bring on the posts!

Subject: [FHLShanghaiCycling] Marco Polo Team roster for 2009 (2)

Dear All,

While you know already the great news about Leon Van Bon extending his racing contract with the Trek - Marco Polo Cycling Team for 2009, please note also that, on the top of Fuyu Li and Xing Yan Dong who will continue to race in 2009 for your favourite Chinese pro team, Marco Polo did manage to sign the recently titled new Chinese Champion, Liu Yili!

Other new riders to the team include Eric van de Meent from the Netherlands, James Spragg from England (second in the U23 British Championship 2006) and South African top-talent Jacques Janse van Rensburg (Winner U23 classification and third overall Giro del Capo).

Malaysian long-term team member Loh Sea Keong, who won a stage in the Tour of Thailand, continues for the new season. Also staying are Japanese riders Genta Nakamura, Toyohiro Oka and Yu Takenouchi. Their compatriot Yuuya Asaki will be joining the team in 2009.

More riders, including two Chinese athletes, will be confirmed soon.

Have a nice week end!

Cheers, JP.
